FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
By when should I RSVP?
Please RSVP by April 12, 2026 using the button below or scrolling to the RSVP section of our website.
What is the best way to get to Ireland and Dromoland Castle?
Feel free to check out our Travel & Accommodations recommendations.
What is the dress code?
Formal attire is requested. What we mean by "formal" is suits and dresses. No tux's or gowns are required. Colors and prints are welcome, as are darker colors. The bridal party will be wearing Taupe and the groom's party will be in a Dark Brown.
What time should I arrive?
The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm in the garden. Please plan to arrive 20 minutes early to ensure you have time to get to your seat.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside in the garden and our reception will be held inside the castle in the Brian Boru Hall. The weather in Ireland can be unpredictable so please prepare for fluctuating temperatures.
Are children allowed?
Your presence means the world to us, and our greatest wish is to celebrate this special day surrounded by the people we love most. While the weekend festivities will be family-friendly, we kindly ask that the ceremony and dinner reception be reserved for adults only. We completely understand that little ones are an important part of your lives, and babies-in-arms are warmly welcomed at the reception.
We will be offering a babysitting service at the castle for those who need it, so please reach out to us directly to let us know your plans and help get an accurate headcount.
If you plan to bring kiddos with you and are staying at The Castle or The Inn, the reservations teams requires that you share the number of children staying in the room and include their ages.
Can I bring a plus-one?
If you have been given a plus-one, when you go to RSVP you will see "Guest" noted below your name. Please use that space to fill in your guest's first and last name and proceed to RSVP as usual.
Are there other activities you recommend we check out while we are on site at Dromoland?
We recommend checking out our Things to Do Section.
Will there be a shuttle to the welcome party?
Yes! A shuttle will depart Dromoland Castle at 5pm and 6:45 pm. A shuttle will also take you back to the castle at 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm, when the party ends.
Are you serving food at the welcome party?
We will be providing light bites and an open bar but we suggest arranging your own dinner prior to the welcome party. We recommend dining at the castle or somewhere near the pub in Ennis!
Do you have a wedding registry?
We understand that traveling to Ireland for our wedding is no small feat. Having you there to celebrate with us is the perfect gift! For anyone who wants to contribute something extra, we have a honeymoon fund in our "Registry" section.
